个人简介 Personal Profile 陈志强，南开大学历史学院教授，现任世界史学系主任，1952年生于天津市，籍贯沈阳市，1994年在希腊亚里士多德大学哲学院取得历史与考古学博士学位。曾任中国世界中世纪史研究副理事长、天津历史学会理事长，担任第六届、第七届国务院学位委员会学科评议组成员、中国社会科学基金评审委员，2006-11年任南开大学历史学院院长。长期从事拜占廷历史与文化、世界中古史、欧洲史、基督教史研究，曾在《中国社会科学》、《历史研究》、《世界历史》、《考古学报》等专业刊物上发表论文近200篇，出版著作《拜占廷学研究》、《拜占廷帝国史》、《巴尔干古代史》、《拜占廷帝国通史》、《拜占廷研究入门》、《科索沃通史》、《特殊的拜占廷文化》、《君士坦丁堡陷落记》等著作和译著20余部，曾获希腊议会通过的由希腊总统和外交部长签署颁发的金质勋章、教育部社科优秀成果奖、教育部教学成果奖、学会论文评比一等奖和天津市社会科学优秀研究成果一、二等奖，入选国家教委“跨世纪优秀人才培养计划”，享受国务院特殊津贴。2020年入选国家首批“一流课程”主讲人，现为南开大学讲席讲授。Prof. Chen Zhiqiang received his Ph. D. degree in Byzantine History & Archaeology from the School of Philosophy at the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki, Greece in 1994, with the supervisor Prof. J. Karayanopolous, later General secretary of International Association of Byzantine Studies. Since he was sent as one of the first group of students by Chinese government to Greece in 1980s, Prof. Chen has made great effort to push forward Byzantine studies in China. He has published about two hundreds articles concerning various aspects in Byzantine history. Many articles are published in the top Chinese periodicals, such as HISTORICAL RESEARCH, JOURNAL OF ARCHAEOLOGY and JOURNAL OF WORLD HISTORY. His monographs include General History of Byzantium (2013), History of the Byzantine Empire (2003), Ancient History of the Balkans (2007), Research of Byzantinology (2001), Byzantine Civilization (2001), History of Byzantine Culture (1999), Fall of Constantinople (1997), Development of European Union (2002)and so on.Prof. Chen once obtained research grants from Princeton University, Harvard University, University of Athens, Helsinki University and Duisburg-Essen University. While working as full Professor of History and dean of History College, Nankai University, Prof. Chen also do many administrative duties for society. Now he is the vice-president of Chinese Association of the Medieval World History, member of the National Supervising Committee for History Science, as well as president of Association of Historians in Tianjin.In 2013, he was granted with the First-rate award (Order of Honor in Gold) for achievement in literature and art from President and Parliament of Republic of Greece, with the seal of Ministry of Foreign Affair of Greece because of his contribution to develop the research of Greek history and culture in China. He also was granted with awards for his outstanding research from Chinese government.
