He then worked in Department of Chemistry at Tianjin University as lecturer, associate professor, full professor and department chair. He has published more than 90 papers cited by SCI. Now he is interested in micro-environment construction on the surface of polymer fibers and its utility in catalytic organic reactions and environmental pollution control.
