He spent the period of 2007–2009 as an exchange student at The University of Akron in USA under the supervision of S. Z. D. Cheng. In July 2010, He joined Peking University as a postdoctoral researcher. Now, he is an associate professor in the Department of Polymer Engineering and Science, School of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Tianjin University.
